Dorothy Dreyer - My Sister's Reaper (2013)

Great book, but seriously creepy!

Dreyer writes a good young adult horror. It was a little slow and angsty in places, but the storyline was original and lively - scary reapers are knocking off greedy self-involved teens who can wish for anything they want. Throughout your life people tell you 'Be careful for what you wish for!' and this is the novel that tells you why.

The story revolves around Zadie and her attempts to save her sister from a reaper. At times I felt her sister deserved death-by-reaper, she wasn't the nicest specimen of semi-humanity and her actions got others killed. But, sibling bonds are what they are - so, Zadie for the win and all that.

The book was fun and older teens will love it.
